A New Beginning Starts Here
The Birmingham Re-Entry Alliance is a collaborative network of nonprofits, faith groups, and government partners working together to support individuals returning to our community after incarceration.
Faces of Hope

Weaving Together a Network of Support
Every year, hundreds of individuals return to Birmingham after incarceration — many with nothing. No housing. No identification. No healthcare. No plan.
The Birmingham Re-Entry Alliance brings together ten partner organizations to provide comprehensive, wraparound support. Rather than creating a new organization, we harness the strengths of existing nonprofits, faith groups, and government agencies to collaboratively serve our community's most vulnerable members.

With a substance use history dating back 30 years, John has now achieved the longest period of being drug-free in his life. He was recently offered a full-time position as house manager.
He is thriving.
Jodi's Story
