Meet Our Alliance

Each organization signed a Memorandum of Understanding defining their role in the collaborative, ensuring coordinated and effective service delivery.

Alabama Appleseed Center for Law & Justice

Lead Partner

Lead Organization & Program Administration

Alabama Appleseed serves as the lead organization of the Alliance, providing program administration, supervision of the case manager, data collection, and overall coordination. Appleseed's reentry program laid the foundation for the collaborative model.

Alabama Regional Medical Services (ARMS)

Healthcare

Healthcare Services

ARMS provides comprehensive healthcare services to program participants, including medical care, mental health care, and counseling. They accept referrals from the case manager and serve participants consistent with their existing patient services.

Aletheia House

Treatment

Substance Use Treatment

Aletheia House provides drug treatment services including inpatient and outpatient care, and Medication Assisted Treatment using buprenorphine (Suboxone) for individuals with opioid addiction. They also provide limited healthcare and housing services when available.

Canterbury United Methodist Church

Faith-Based

Faith-Based Support & Starter Kits

Canterbury provides essential resources upon release including starter kits of household supplies, toiletries, and clothing. They also facilitate connections between the Alliance and other faith-based service providers.

Community on the Rise

Documents & Benefits

Identification & Benefits

Community on the Rise serves as the primary provider of identification documents — birth certificates, social security cards, and state IDs. They also assist with government benefits applications and offer counseling, life skills coaching, and creative programs.

Hope Inspired Ministries

Employment

Workforce Development

Hope Inspired Ministries provides workforce development skills, employment connections, and life skills training including soft skills, financial management, problem solving, and conflict resolution, with opportunities for employment with local businesses.

Downtown Jimmie Hale Mission

Housing & Development

Housing & Reclaiming Hope Program

Jimmie Hale Mission accepts participants into its Reclaiming Hope Program, providing housing, meals, educational and job-readiness services, counseling, and spiritual development. Their 16-week Back to Life University program is also available.

Offender Alumni Association

Peer Support

Peer Support

Led by formerly incarcerated individuals, OAA provides peer support, emotional and social support, and life skills training. They are uniquely positioned to understand the challenges of reentry and work closely with the case manager to assess participants' needs.

Salvation Army

Training & Housing

Job Training & Housing

The Salvation Army provides job training, workforce development assistance, and connections to employers. They also provide temporary housing in their Men's and Women's Shelters, including meals and supportive services.

Fellowship House

New Partner

Residential Substance Use Treatment

The newest partner in the Alliance, Fellowship House provides residential substance use treatment services, expanding the Alliance's capacity to serve individuals in recovery.
